River Ridge Church is committed to loving our neighbors in practical, tangible ways. We partner with trusted local organizations that are meeting real needs in our community and creating opportunities for our church family to serve.

Bag Hunger

Bag Hunger is a program through West Teays Elementary School that ensures students receiving free and reduced lunch have meals to take home on the weekends. Each year, our church collects food items, assembles weekend meal bags, and delivers them to the school to support students and families.

Huntington City Mission

Located in downtown Huntington, Huntington City Mission provides food, shelter, clothing, education, and case management for men, women, and families experiencing homelessness. Several times each year, River Ridge hosts serving days to help with projects around the shelter. We also serve as a collection site for non-perishable food items to support their food pantry.

Heart + Hand Ministries

Heart + Hand Ministries serves individuals and families in Putnam County by providing emergency assistance, including food, clothing, baby supplies, and help with rent and utility needs.

Christian Community Cupboard

Christian Community Cupboard is a food pantry located at Forrest Burdette Memorial United Methodist Church in Hurricane. The pantry serves families throughout Putnam County. Once a year, River Ridge volunteers serve alongside the Cupboard team to help organize and distribute food to community members.
